aayi was born from a conversation with an OB-GYN doctor in Hyderabad who said: "I see my patient for 15 minutes. The next appointment is 30 days away. In between, I have no idea what she's eating, whether she's taking her iron tablets, or if that headache she mentioned is getting worse."
That gap — between the clinic and home — is where most maternal health complications begin. Mothers Google symptoms at 2 AM, get conflicting information, and either panic unnecessarily or miss genuine warning signs. Doctors receive 30-40 WhatsApp messages a day from anxious patients, burning hours they don't have.
We built aayi to close that gap digitally — an AI layer between the clinic visit and the next appointment that gives mothers reliable, doctor-calibrated answers 24/7, and gives doctors real-time visibility into patient compliance without extra admin. Founded in 2024 in Hyderabad, recognised by DRDO, and built for India's 30 million pregnancies a year.
A typical OB-GYN consultation lasts 15 minutes. The next appointment is 30 days away. In between, mothers Google every symptom, send midnight WhatsApp messages to their doctors, and make critical health decisions without clinical guidance.
Doctors, meanwhile, spend 40% of their day on admin, receive unpaid teleconsult messages at all hours, and walk into each appointment with no data on what actually happened in the 30 days between visits.
This blind spot is dangerous. It leads to missed screenings, non-compliance with prenatal vitamins, delayed vaccine schedules, and outcomes that could have been prevented.
Aayi.ai is a doctor-first platform that connects the dots between clinic visits. Everything the mother does in the app — daily health logging, compliance tracking, aayi Companion questions — flows directly to the treating doctor's clinical dashboard.
